Boulder-based Eco-Products Inc., which brands food-service products made from renewable and recycled materials, has introduced a reusable "event" cup made from recycled content. The cups, made from 25 percent post-consumer recycled polypropolene, will be used at four Planet Bluegrass-sponsored music events this summer, including one in Telluride and three in Lyons. Attendees will be instructed to either take the cups home for further use or to deposit them in special clean-stream bins where they will be collected by Planet Bluegrass volunteers and taken to a recycler.

Boulder-based startup Melicor Medical LLC has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to develop and market a minimally invasive surgery cleaning device, the LLICS, or Laparoscopic Lens Internal Cleaning System. The device uses a surfactant, a soapy substance that's biocompatible with the human body, to clean the lens of a laparoscopic device being used during surgery, and is designed to save surgeons time and frustration. The disposable plastic device is expected to cost less than $100.

Boulder-based JNBridge LLC, a provider of interoperability tools, which connect Java and .NET Frameworks on the ground and in the cloud, has announced support for Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ) in its JMS Adapters for .NET and BizTalk Server. The solution integrates Microsoft BizTalk Server or Microsoft .NET-based software with Oracle AQ, and facilitates the integration of the Oracle Retail Integration Bus with BizTalk Server.

Longmont-based Madhava Honey Ltd., which first introduced agave to the U.S. market a decade ago, has announced its Raw Organic Agave Nectar is now fair trade certified. The certification ensures that farmers are paid a fair wage for their labor and that strict social, economic and environmental standards are met. Beginning this month, Madhava began shipping the certified nectar to supermarkets and natural food stores nationwide.

Longmont-based Kozio Inc., a provider of software solutions for embedded hardware design verification and production tests, has expanded its Verification and Test OS to support the new OMAP 5 platform from Texas Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: TXN). The OMAP 5 platform is a multicore applications processor with integrated wireless connectivity, power management, battery management and audio management for next-generation smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices. Kozio also announced the release of VTOS Suite I, the industry's first operating system-based verification and test solution for the engineering lab and production test floor.
